Short answer: THOR's range lines go from the entry-level A Series (ARG) to the flagship X Series (XRG), with the L (LRG), H (HRG) and tilt-panel T (TRG) Series in between and a streamlined S Series (SRG). At 36 inches, all of these gas models run on a standard 120V outlet. Choose the ARG36 for an LED oven display and preset modes, the LRG3601U for two 18,000 BTU front burners and simple knobs, the HRG3618U for the most total burner power, a 650 BTU simmer and an infrared broiler, and the XRG36E for a 22,000 BTU brass burner and self-clean.
At KBIS 2024, THOR described a "Good, Better, Best" lineup: the A Series at the entry price point, the T, H and L Series in the mid tier, and the X Series as the flagship. The S Series came out separately and THOR's spec sheet describes it as a six-burner range with a black porcelain oven interior.

Cooktop totals are our sums of THOR's listed burner ratings. THOR also makes TRG tilt-panel ranges with touch controls, air fry and self-clean; we left them out of the table. Confirm the current spec sheet for your exact model before ordering.
The BTU ÷ 100 rule of thumb gives about 720 CFM for the ARG36, 755 for the SRG3601, 780 for the LRG3601U and 840 for the HRG3618U. HVI's width rule for a 36-inch wall hood gives 300 CFM. Use the higher number as a starting point and run it through our range hood CFM calculator. Hoods over 400 CFM can trigger make-up air rules where IRC M1503.6 is adopted; see make-up air for hoods over 400 CFM. A licensed installer should handle gas, venting and electrical work to local code.

THOR sells several range families. THOR's 2024 tiering put the A Series (Contemporary Professional, ARG) at entry level, the T, H and L Series in the mid tier, and the X Series as the flagship. THOR also sells a streamlined S Series (SRG). Model prefixes match the series: ARG, SRG, LRG, HRG, TRG and XRG for gas ranges.
Among the 36-inch gas models we compared, the HRG3618U totals 84,000 BTU (two 15,000 BTU dual burners, one 18,000 and three 12,000), then the LRG3601U at 78,000, the SRG3601 at 75,500 and the ARG36 at 72,000. The X Series XRG36E has the single most powerful burner at 22,000 BTU. Totals are our sums of THOR's listed burner ratings.
The HRG3618U lists a 650 BTU simmer on its two dual burners, and the XRG36E lists a 1,000 BTU simmer on its 22,000 BTU dual burner. The SRG3601 has a 3,500 BTU rear burner. The ARG36's smallest burners are 9,000 BTU.
Of the 36-inch gas models here, the HRG3618U (16,500 BTU infrared) and the X Series XRG36E list infrared broilers. The ARG36 and SRG3601 list a 13,500 BTU broil burner, and the LRG3601U a 10,000 BTU tube broiler.
No. THOR lists 120V on a 15A circuit for the ARG36, SRG3601, LRG3601U and XRG36E, and 120V for the HRG3618U (15A on the product page; the spec sheet also mentions 15 or 20A). Gas line size and conversion to propane are separate; check the spec sheet and use a licensed installer.
When this guide was updated we had the A Series ARG36, the L Series LRG3601U and the H Series HRG3618U in stock in both natural gas and propane versions. We do not currently list the S Series or X Series.
