Short answer: ZLINE Satin Stainless Steel is the new name for the finish ZLINE used to call DuraSnow®. ZLINE says only the name changed and that quality and performance are the same. It is a fingerprint-resistant, non-directional finish with a deep metallic-gray look. ZLINE offers it on ranges, range hoods, dishwashers and other appliances.

Most of our ZLINE listings still say DuraSnow® in the product title. That is the same finish ZLINE now calls Satin Stainless Steel. Two patterns help:
Confirm the finish in the product title and photos before you order, especially if you want the range and hood to match.

Yes. ZLINE says Satin Stainless Steel is the new name for its finish formerly called DuraSnow®, with the same quality and performance. Many product listings, including ours, still use the DuraSnow® name, so treat the two names as the same finish.
ZLINE describes the finish as smudge-proof and fingerprint-resistant. Resistant does not mean it never shows marks. Expect fewer visible fingerprints than standard brushed stainless, and wipe it down per the care instructions in your ZLINE manual.
In ZLINE range model numbers we carry, SN marks the Satin Stainless (DuraSnow) finish. For example, RA-SN-36 is a stainless range with a DuraSnow door, while RAS-SN-36 has the DuraSnow finish on the body and the door. Always confirm the finish in the product title and photos.
You can, but they will not match exactly. ZLINE describes Satin Stainless as a deep metallic-gray finish with a non-directional polish, while standard stainless has a brushed grain. If you want a matched look, choose the range, hood and dishwasher in the same finish.
ZLINE says the finish is applied to 304-grade stainless steel and resists scratches, rust and stains. ZLINE is the only maker of this finish.
