Short answer: Size a hood for a ZLINE range the same way as any pro-style range: take the higher of HVI width CFM and BTU÷100, then check the ZLINE range and hood manuals. Many ZLINE wall hoods in our catalog are rated around 400 CFM—verify that rating matches your cooktop before you buy.
Use the CFM calculator, then shop ZLINE and wall hoods.
Use total burner BTU ÷ 100 and HVI width method; take the higher. Many 36-inch gas ranges land near 500–750 CFM before duct losses—confirm your exact model sheet.
400 CFM may be enough for smaller cooktops but is often low for high-BTU 36-inch gas ranges. Run the numbers for your BTU total.
