Why mill your own flour, when it's so readily available? Commercial mills remove 30 percent of the wheat kernel, removing the most nutritious part of the grain to make white flour. Milling your own flour not only ensures that your flour is as nutritious as it can be, it has a wonderful taste that is lost to commercially made whole-grain flour.
NutriMill is the world's most popular maker of grain mills, and the NutriMill Classic has been its #1 selling mill for over 20 years! The NutriMill Classic electric grain mill uses a high speed impact chamber (also called a micronizer) with stainless steel milling heads to create flour from grains and beans. The NutriMill Classic has raised the bar for grain mill design with new features and abilities users have asked for—a combination of features found in no other impact mill.
The new design of the NutriMill Classic's impact chamber allows you to put grain into the hopper before you turn it on with no risk of plugging the mill, which can happen with older mill designs. Even if stopped during grinding, the NutriMill Classic restarts again without trouble.
With the NutriMill Classic you have the ability to grind from super fine, much finer than any other impact mill, to coarser flour you need for perfect cornbread. Its impact grain milling heads provide a 400% range of adjustment from fine to coarse, ten times greater than earlier impact mills.
The NutriMill Classic allows you to grind up to 20 cups of flour at one time! Its grain hopper and flour bin are perfectly matched so you never have to worry about an overfilled mess. Convenient, powerful & fast: Just pour grain in the hopper, turn the NutriMill Classic on, and its powerful 10 amp, 1-3/4 hp motor does the rest, quickly producing your choice of fine, medium, or coarse flour. The NutriMill Classic's impact grinding mechanism is self-cleaning, and it operates dust-free, so grinding grain won't mean extra housecleaning later. Its one-piece design, easy-grip handles, and lightweight make the NutriMill Classic easy to move.
The versatile NutriMill Classic grinds wheat (both hard and soft), oat groats (dehulled oats), rice, triticale, kamut, spelt, dry beans, lentils, dent (field) corn, popcorn, dried sweet corn, split peas, buckwheat, barley, rye, millet, teff, quinoa, amaranth, sorghum, dried mung beans, and soybeans. It will also grind dried, minimally-sprouted grain. The NutriMill Classic isn't suitable for herbs, spices, oilseeds like flax, chopped chestnuts or fibrous materials. Also note that when set for coarser meal texture, the NutriMill Classic's output remains too fine for making cereal grinds. The NutriMill Classic is an outstanding machine for making a full range of flour and meal textures.
Protects nutrients: The NutriMill Classic keeps your flour at temperatures typically about 118° that protects the nutrients in your grains. Its new airflow design makes the NutriMill Classic the world's coolest-running impact mill. With a sound level about like a vacuum cleaner, the NutriMill Classic is much quieter than the first generation of impact mill designs.
With a Limited Lifetime Warranty, you can be sure your Nutrimill Classic will output flour reliably for years to come.
Classic Mill grinds hard wheat nicely with no harmful heating. Dent corn processing is real slow even on the most course setting with some heating. Cleaning the removable filter and the milled flour holding container is a little messy. An outside job for me. Didnt go with the spout type mill thinking about dust, but would likely go that way now that I have experienced the clean up requirement.
I appreciate how easy my new Nutra mill works it has an extension that makes grinding a large amount of grain into flour. I also love the size of the machine. It does not take up a lot of counter space and for my kitchen. It fits perfectly under my cabinet where I store my mixer.
As a beginner, I was a little intimidated, but this mill made the process simple. I’m excited to keep experimenting with different grains and recipes. If you’re thinking about getting into home milling, I’d definitely recommend giving this mill a try!
We’re a family of 6 so needless to say we eat a lot! We’ve been amazed and will never go back to store bought. It takes less than 10 minutes to mill 15 cups of berries and we’ve used hard white wheat, hard red wheat and einkorn so far and all have done great. We’ve made bread, waffles and pizza dough and every time has been incredible texture, flavor, and easy to do. So grateful to have our nutrimill!
Works quickly and quietly. No dust at all , everything is self contained. Will recommend to friends and family as I talk them in to milling and baking their own healthy , fresh bread

I have 3 of these Classic mills. Got first one over 20 years ago. Still works. Bought last one about a year ago because they were $100 off and just got it because the price was good and if I ever needed a replacement I would have one. No problems with any of them. Wouldn't have any other kind. Use it at least 4 times a week.

I purchased a NutriMill classic for myself several months ago. I absolutely love it! In fact, I love it so much that I purchased another one for my granddaughter. She is an amazing cook and baker. She believes in healthy cooking. I can’t wait to see and hear about the things she will make.
This is my first grain mill. I'm a prepper who just threw away a bunch of expired flour I didn't use because it doesn't last like wheat berries (10 yr shelf life). So I got wheat berries for the longevity of shelf life and needed a mill. After researching a great deal I found the ratings to be very good on this model I just milled up spelt berries for the first mill of my machine yesterday. I ran the flour through twice and it looks amazing. This is in the first 30 days of owning my mill so thats all I know. It was packaged well and looks great. The knobs seem a bit lack luster as far as knowing where your at in the scheme of things. I milled my flour 2 times because at first it did not seem to be moving the grain at the hopper down to the grinder but it was moving just very slowly so I opened it up and it moved faster but milled it more course so I ran it through again at a slower speed. This seemed to satisfy the issue, I am a novice beginner in the milling world with one mill under my belt. Looking forward to many more mills.
We started milling our grains about a month ago and are very much enjoying making bread made from whole wheat berries. The Nutrimill is super easy to use and very fast. We are sharing the milling experience with our married kids and encouraging them to start on this adventure, too.
I abselutly love that you can mill soooo much wheat in such a little time and not worry about the wheat getting burned up (my old mill i had to worry) My only annoyance is the dumping of the little cup on the inside. After awhile it adds to the list of things I COULD live without. Haha .
