Product Description
Host like a pro and cook like a steakhouse. The Arteflame Classic 40″ with Round Base pairs a ½" solid carbon-steel flat-top with a central grill grate to deliver blazing 1,000°F+ searing and smooth, edge-to-edge heat zones across 1,250+ sq in of cooking surface. The sculptural round base in U.S. CORTEN (“weathering”) steel brings timeless style and long-term durability. After dinner, lift the cooktop and enjoy the open flames as a modern fire feature.
Why You’ll Love It
-
Steakhouse Sear (1,000°F+): Build a deep crust on the center grate, then finish to temp on the flat-top for perfect doneness.
-
Built-In Heat Zones: We have measured our own Classic 40 many times: the center grate easily reaches 1,000°F, the cooktop runs 450–550°F toward the inner edge and 250–350°F toward the outer edge. Fresh air enters the fire bowl at the bottom and rises through the grill grate, which keeps the outer edge cooler. How the heat zones work
-
Cook for a Crowd: 1,250+ sq in lets you sear proteins, sizzle veggies, and toast bread—all at once.
-
Built to Last: ½" carbon-steel cooktop; CORTEN steel bowl & round base designed to weather beautifully outdoors.
-
Grill → Fire Bowl: Transition from cooking to a cozy gathering point in minutes.
-
Functional Sculpture: Clean, circular lines make it a striking centerpiece in any outdoor space.

Common Questions
What's the difference between this and the Storage Base version? This is the Round Base configuration. An alternate Storage Base version is also available if you want built-in space for wood or accessories.
What's included? The Classic 40″ grill (CORTEN round base and bowl), a center grill grate, and a seasoning puck.
How much cooking surface do I get? 1,250+ sq inches on the 40″ cooktop.
What's Corten steel, and is it safe to cook near? The bowl and round base are Corten (weathering) steel — it forms a protective, non-toxic patina rather than ongoing rust. The cooktop itself is a separate hot rolled steel surface, not Corten. See our full Corten steel guide for the material breakdown, safety info, and how to prevent patio staining.
